M-Net’s array of general entertainment and niche channels found their perfect companions in social media and the HuzuSocial platform.
M-Net, first launched in 1985, broadcasts original formats to subscribers in 41 countries across Africa. They also adapt world-renowned shows like ‘Big Brother’, ‘Idols’, and ‘Survivor’, to keep subscribers in touch with popular reality programming.
M-Net set up their social media services inhouse so that they could control and schedule the development of their online communities.
Big Brother Africa is the largest community with huge visitor figures showing participants getting in and about, creating new profiles, engaging in forum debates, posting blogs, and uploading photo / video content.
The outcome has seen more involvement from viewers, deeper insight into who they are and increased advertising revenues. Now that’s something to talk about.
